Why are we in business?
Well, we all know that a cat has nine lives, but most businesses don’t have nine lives.
So tell me, why are you in business?
You may think, well that’s a silly question?
I’m in business to make money of course.
Many, many people don’t start out as a business; they actually start out as hobbyists.
They love the craft that they’re working on and then suddenly, they are ushered into the business world.
They are encouraged by their friends and family. “Wow! You should be selling this.”
Maybe they’ll say, “Hey, I think there could be a market for this.”
Then all of a sudden, they’re looking to joining the business world as an entrepreneur.
Some of you may be wondering, what is my next step, how am I going to get things going again.
You may be a full-fledged business, however, things are just not picking up, and old or existing customers are shopping elsewhere.
Let’s be honest, there is always a lull in most businesses. One year everything is going just as you had hoped, then the bottom falls out so to speak.
You think to yourself, what happened, is it the competition, are we too expensive, are people just not interested in our products, or service anymore?
You think about advertising, but you just can’t find the time. The little business that you have keeps you busy, but just not enough to keep things going comfortably.
After all, we are all in business to make money, right!
Who doesn’t want to make a nice profit, who doesn’t want to not have to worry about money flow? After all, this is what keeps businesses going. In addition, it keeps the economy going.
Most businesses carry a lease for wherever they conduct business. Lighting, heating, maintenance, salaries, merchandise and dare I say it, taxes.
Operating a business takes precious time, you just can’t squeeze anything else into your day, and there is just no way that you are able to tackle anything else.
You’re tired, exhausted, and you feel, “I just want to play golf” (with me, I just want to play tennis) it helps you know. Do you ever feel that way? You just want to get away and think!
Think about it, no distractions, no business calls, you just want your business to prosper. Isn’t that the goal of every business person?
Where do you go from here?
This is where I come in.
I can help take the pressure off you by doing all the writing for you. I can write advertising letters for you and e-mails etc.
As a copywriter, I can write a promotional letter just like the one you are reading right now.
I can write advertising e-mails for you (not spam), but an e-mail describing your business and what you have to offer.
Most businesses have legitimate e-mail lists, that is, from previous clients that they’ve done business with in the past.
It could be they’re just waiting to hear from you; maybe an e-mail can twig something that they’ve been thinking about for quite a while.
Maybe you could send a weekly or monthly newsletter informing clients of new services or upgraded services.
Maybe you have a new product, which may be beneficial to the homeowner or business.
Never lose sight of your primary goal: that is, to sell your product or service.
Stress the benefits and arouse interest while being accurate in what you have to offer.
Maybe you were thinking of a brochure or a sales letter. I have written many of these in the past.
How is your website content?
First of all, what are you selling?
Do you want to promote products, services, community, membership, church events, donations, non-profit organizations?
How does your website look?
Is it attractive? Is it inviting? Is it alive (full of life)?
Does it cause people to stay and read what you have to offer?
Do you think your website will make the customer or clients decide to make a purchase or give a donation to your cause?
Do you have all the right ingredients?
Do you have writing content on all your web pages?
Do you word it properly, to pique the interest of potential customers or members/donors?
How does the writing content compare to other websites?
Take a look at other sites and compare. What are they doing that you’re not?
What is the most effective way to advertise?
Copywriting and e-mail advertising has been the greatest breakthrough since the inception of the internet.
This will be the mainstay of all business advertising in the future.
Most people use the internet, with computers at home, and also on mobile devices.
People are always on the go, they are always looking for something, always looking for information on how to buy something or how to do something different.
Businesses have to tap into this and most of them are, don’t be left behind, increase your business sales today.
Whatever you invest in your business today is an investment in the future of your business tomorrow.
Now, more than ever, you need to advertise.
The question you have to ask yourself is this, “can you afford not to?”
Don’t wait for business to come to you, with confidence we say, “who says you can’t win ‘em all?
When was the last time you sent your clients an e-mail?
Here’s an idea worth considering.
Did you ever send one e-mail prior to a celebration event like Christmas, Easter, springtime, summer, fall, and winter?
Some of these seasons may indeed apply to your business services or products.
There are so many other occasions throughout the year that you probably know.
Different countries have different celebrations throughout the year; use these celebration times to advertise your products or services.
This is why I’m offering to help you
Content writing often spells the difference between failure and success.
You have probably noticed by now, that I’m trying to sell you my services as a copywriter.
Why am I doing this? To make money of course, this is my business, writing is what I do, and I believe I do it very well.
Why else would I do it, besides the fact that I love writing and thoroughly enjoy it too?
However, I want to write you a business e-mail letter or a promotional letter, so that you too can increase your business and make money.
Let’s be honest with each other and in our business relationship. I’m looking for business and so are you.
I can help you and you can also help me. It’s a win-win for all of us.
Then once you start bringing in more customers, we can then start working together, to create another strategy, another promotional letter.
Remember, your satisfaction means more business.
This is why I’m offering to help you.
As a business person, you know how important it is in today’s uncertain economy, to be pro-active in promoting your business.
It’s a fact of life that economies fluctuate and become volatile at times.
